  • OH MY GOD HE’S BACKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    Yep, unluckily for some I’m back on track. I’ve been having some computer difficulties at home, and havent been in school all that much because of my exam leave and half term and all, but that’s all fixed now.I’ll be updating a bit more regularly now.

    You poor people.

    Anywaym a LOT of strange stuf has happened to me in the past few weeks. Here’s a quick breakdown.

    ~~~The Wonderful, Freaky And Frankly Rather Odd Past Few Days~~~
    1) I am being hailed as a hero.
    2) My mum went in to hospital
    3) I screwed up my French exam.
    4) I am currently housesitting at home, while my parents are at our friends house
    5) Election Fever has hit the U.K
    6) I have had very little sleep.
    BAsically those are the headline events in my life at the moment.
    1) Yeah, I’m being called a hero. I’m not. A hero is someone who wears his underpants on top of his lycra body suit and throws CosmicNuclearMegaDeathBigBangOuch missiles into the sun. I was just doing my job.
    Basically, I was on the poolside at work and this kid jumped in. Now, the outdoor pool at Redwood is odd in that it is deep at both ends and shallow in the middle, but this boy didnt know that. He’s only about 6 or 7 and as he hit the water he went straight under, pooped up and promptly sank back down. All I did was dive in and help him out of the pool.
    That’s it. Nothing heroic in that. It annoys me when people make a big deal out of stuff like that because I was just doing what I get paid to do.
    2) My family have this wierd genetic thing on my mums side. Not anything bad, but it makes the big toe on our right foot start to cross over while we’re in our teens. Anyway, it started late on my mum, and she had to go in to hospital to have it fixed. Basically it involves cracking the bone and setting it straight.
    So mum is currently hobbling around, and I’m panicking.
    It’s my turn in September.
    3) Yes, French exam. Had it this morning. And I didn’t have a clue. I mean, I don’t think I’ve done all that bad, but nothing remarkable, and I’m sure I’m gonna fail. Oh well.
    C’est la vie, as they say.
    4) I have the house to my self. Well, me and Karen. But Karen’s hardly ever here, and I’m living it up ^_^ Basically, my parents are housesitting for ourn friend Anne, who owns a HUGE house in the country. So they’re there, I’m here. Heeheehee…….
    5) It’s polling day. Right now people are flocking to the polling stations to cast a vote on who will rule our lives for the next four years. I just wish I was old enough to vote.
    I’m beginning to think Hazel’#s prediction is coming true. I’m beginning to enjoy politics. HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’M BECOMING MY GRANDFATHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    6) This ties in with #4. Sleep hasnt been high on my priority list lately. It’s been pushed back by work, revision, and chatting online. I’m currentlyu getting by on about 4 hours sleep or less a night.After my exams my sleeping patterns are going to be shot to pieces :(
    So what else is on the agenda?? Umm…..Well, I’m looking into taking up a new martial art-more on that coming up as and when I get info.
    Martial arts is something of a new thing to me. I started kickboxing about four months ago, just randomly because I saw there was a class at work. My life was really at a low ebb and I saw it as something of a way out.
    Before long I completely immersed myself in it, throwing myself into every training session, terrifying my parents by performing all sorts of kicks at random in the living room, reading every book I could get my grubby little mitts on.
    Now, four months later, my first gradings are coming up and I’m hooked. I’ve never been fiiter, more self-confident, or happier. It’s like Martial Arts has given me a whole new lease of life.
    Ummm…..other things……
    HeliumPixie’s weblog is very much in the same vein as mine, but a lot more random. Check it out, there is some HILARIOUS stuff on there. Hold on to your sides if ou do visit- http://www.xanga.com/HeliumPixie
    Thanks to Claudia for sending her friend a copy of my last post. It’s nice to know my blog reaches as far away as Hull :D :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Which, incidentally, is good as I wasnt expecting anyone outside my school to visit.
    If you look on Claudia’s weblog, http://www.xanga.com/CLAUDIAS, you’ll find an interesting fact.
    15 years ago, a herd of cows could make more money in a year than a developing town in the third world.
    And I don’t mean the cows making the FARMER money by winding up on people’s sunday roasts, oh no,THE COWS THEMSELVES were being subsidized to the tune of $1000 each. $1000! Thats about £750! For sitting around mooing and chewing grass!!!!!!!
    Soon cows will be setting up businesses and franchises. You wait and see. in 100,000 years, I bet cows will be one of the few sentient species on earth.
    Because Mankind would have put all it’s wealth into bovine bank accounts and the entire human race will be living in yurts in Wales somewhere.
    Thank god I’ll be dead when that happens.
    Another quote on Claudia’s site:
    “People don’t care how much you know about them as soon as they realize how much you care about them”
    Y’know, I see that. I’m not a talkative person. I am, in fact, REALLY Antisocial. Hey, I’m not proud of it. But ne thing I always try to be is approachable. I like to talk people’s problems over with them. It lets me escape from my own. I never talk about what’s wrong my end, but if there’s one thing that makes me feel good, it’s helping someone else.
    I have a really close community of friends online. We’re all roughly the same age, all teenagers, and I’m one of the eldest. I’m also the only english person. We’ve all had a lot of problems lately, in our mundane real-world lives, and although none of us have ever met each other, we don’t know each other well, we still care for each other. So much so we’ve labelled our community a family.
    The guy who wrote that quote was right. I havent met any of these guys IRL, but I know I care for them as much as I do anyone else.
    Anyway, i have to go. Lessons beckon me and my seat at the computer is being threatened by hordes of screaming year 7′s. So I’ll speak to you all again. See you soon!
    Check out Heliumpixie’s and Claudia’s sites too!!!!!
    Bye for now :D :):D:):D:)
  • Hey, I think what you did for that kid is pretty cool. I won’t say it was heroic, cos you’d get mad at me for that!
